About
The WaiZilla project is the first open source project aimed at producing a cross platform web-site accessibility testing tool.
The name WaiZilla is a hybrid of two elements that are at the core of the Waizilla project.
- WAI is an acronym for The Web Accessibility Initiative, a set of guidelines and recommendations by the w3c relating to accessibility on the internet.
- Zilla is borrowed from the name of the Mozilla browser. WaiZilla uses the Mozilla XPFE (cross platform engine) for rendering its interface and producing its functionality.
Planned Features of first release
- Test any document from right click context menu in Mozilla or Firebird.
- Test at A, AA or AAA level conformance.
- Human readable report generation.
- Machine readable (hopefully EARL) report generation.
- Save and share reports with other WaiZilla users.
Where can I get WaiZilla?
WaiZilla is currently under development and has no releases. However, the developer site is at http://waizilla.mozdev.org. Here is where, releases, CVS and web-installer packages will be stored. You can also join the mailing list.
Note: If you want to add an area for user feedback to any of your pages, take a look at the notes.html template.
